Success and Abundance

It’s been a crazy month!
Happy Happy New Year to you. I hope the month so far has been happy and fruitful and anything else you wished for in the New Year. Every year a “theme” comes to mind that will be my overall intention for the entire year, then I’ll create smaller goals that live up to that intention. (See past New Year’s posts here). This year, Success and Abundance made the cut. However, it’s been off to a rocky start.
Some of my smaller goals included writing weekly blogs, planning more wellness events, getting rid of spam in my inbox, and daily meditation. With construction going on in my abode, which comes along with dust flying all over the place, distractions from drills and saws for this work-from-homer, along with being the victim of a fender-bender and a lot of planning for a family event, (oh, AND signing up for more webinars! = more spam) things so far haven’t worked out as planned.
One thing that helps me stay on track, however, is constant goal-setting and making sure I document instances of gratitude. Sometimes when people create resolutions at the beginning of the year and are unable to stick with them, they become discouraged. Who says we can’t start over, though, and constantly re-create ourselves? I make sure to have my goals front-and-center and check in constantly when I’m feeling discouraged. After all, setting goals is essential to your future success and they should always be present when you are preparing your month, your quarter, your year, and should be helping to guide you along the way.
A fellow entrepreneur said to me when I told her about my scattered month, “Sounds like the Universe is giving you a ton of opportunities for growth….” So true. All of my January “events” so far have made me focus more by making me minimize junk, get organized, and streamline my calendar. And that’s what I plan to do ALL YEAR LONG – each and every month.
Back in November, working with some of my fellow business leaders, we were able to have a kick-ass month in our businesses at the last minute because of how we focused our mind, paid attention to details, supported each other and communicated effectively. We had an epiphany: If we could do all this in ONE day, on the last day of the month, why can’t we do this every day of the next month? We did. And we haven’t stopped since. This doesn’t just have to apply to business and sales but in how we support each other.
Success and abundance can be in the form of finances, sure, but also in the form of health, love and relationships, career/motivation, and even energy in general. The more we get focused on our life goals (and then our yearly goals, our monthly goals, even our weekly and daily goals), the more abundance of one of these things comes in to our lives. The more we streamline our calendars, maybe the more motivation comes in. The more we get rid of junk (material or electronic spam), the more open space and energy you feel. The more you support each other (which comes from first, supporting yourself!) the more abundance and success you might find in your relationship and love life.
In a few weeks’ time, I’ll have more shelf space (and the construction will be done!). I’ll have cleaned out some material junk that has been piling up over the years. I’ll get a bigger calendar to hang up to be able to clearly see my weekly goals and to hold myself accountable to reach those goals.
C’mon Success and Abundance – I’m not waiting for you – I’m Creating you.

I wish you all the success and abundance in the world this week, this month, this year and always!
